Stretching from the sub-arctic regions in the far north to deciduous woodlands in the south, Sweden has a full range of habitats. The eastern coastline is long, running from the Gulf of Bothnia, the Baltic Sea ebbs its way towards the North Sea passing the narrow straights between Denmark and Sweden. In the west a chain of mountains separates Sweden from Norway. Here you will find some of Sweden’s largest National Parks like Abisko. Sweden offers some great birding opportunities. Localities like Falsterbo, Ottenby on the island of Öland and Hornborgasjön are known throughout the birding world
